Part # | Description | Notes |
WQM | Water Quality Monitor - Incorporates Sea-Bird CTD & DO sensors & WET Labs optical sensors into a single instrument. Records Conductivity (salinity), Temperature, Pressure (depth), Dissolved Oxygen, Chlorophyll Fluorescence, & Turbidity. Includes 1 GB memory, RS-232 interface, 200 meter depth rated, AF24173 Anti-foulant Devices, data I/O cable, software, & complete documentation. Specify: pressure sensor range (depth) & chlorophyll & turbidity range selections. | See WQMx for version that also includes CDOM fluorescence, as well as optional backscattering in place of turbidity. |
WQM Strain Gauge Pressure Sensor Selections -- MUST SELECT ONE
WQM-1a | 100 m strain gauge pressure sensor |
Pressure sensor is installed in end cap, & is not field replaceable / swappable.
While highest pressure rating gives you most flexibility in using
WQM, it is at expense of
accuracy & resolution. It is advantageous to use lowest range
pressure sensor compatible with your intended maximum operating
depth, because accuracy & resolution are proportional to pressure
sensor's full scale range. Comparing 100 & 350 m sensors --
Note: Housing is rated to 200 m. |
WQM-1b | 350 m strain gauge pressure sensor
WQM Chlorophyll & Turbidity Range Selections -- MUST SELECT ONE
WQM-2a | 30 µg/l & 10 NTU | Chlorophyll & turbidity sensor are installed in WQM, & are not field replaceable / swappable. While highest range gives you most flexibility in using WQM, it is at expense of resolution. It is advantageous to use lowest range sensors compatible with your intended maximum operating depth. |
WQM-2b | 50 µg/l & 25 NTU | |
WQM-2c | 50 µg/l & 100 NTU | |
WQM-2d | 75 µg/l & 200 NTU | |
WQM-2e | 250 µg/l & 1000 NTU |
