PN 90402 SBE 45 Power, Navigation, & Remote Temperature Interface Box Wiring Error

PN 90402, an optional Interface Box for the SBE 45, with serial number 0052 through 0091 (exception: 0080 and 0084 are not affected). These Interface Boxes were shipped from March 2007 through March 2009.

For the specified serial numbers, the wiring terminating at the DC In connector is reversed. Consequently, if using DC power for input to the Interface Box, the Interface Box will not function when you turn the Power On/Off switch to the On position.

This wiring error has no impact if you are powering the Interface Box with AC power.

• Switch the red and black wires terminating at the DC In connector. The correct wiring is shown below.

• Return the Interface Box to Sea-Bird. Sea-Bird will correct the wiring, and return it to you at no charge.
