By downloading any of our software, you expressly agree to the following:

Sea-Bird's SEASOFT^© software is provided free of charge to Sea-Bird users and is not subject to any license. SEASOFT is protected by copyright laws and international copyright treaties, as well as other intellectual property laws and treaties. All title and copyrights in and to SEASOFT and the accompanying printed materials, and any copies of SEASOFT, are owned by Sea-Bird Electronics. There are no restrictions on its use or distribution, provided such use does not infringe on our copyright.

Note: SEASOFT is a modular program that includes SEASOFT V2 (Seasave V7, Seasave-Win32, SeatermV2, SEATERM, SeatermAF, SBE Data Processing, Deployment Endurance Calculator, Plot39), SEASOFT for Waves - Win32, SEASOFT-DOS, and SEASOFT for Waves - DOS.

SOFTWARE WARRANTY

Sea-Bird Electronics expressly disclaims any warranty for software. Software and any related documentation is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, either expressed or implied, including and without limitation, the implied warranties or merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non infringement. The entire risk arising out of use or performance of SEASOFT remains with you.

In no event shall Sea-Bird Electronics or its representatives or suppliers be liable for any damages whatsoever (including, without limitation, damages for loss of business profits, business interruption, loss of business information, or any other pecuniary loss) arising out of the use of or inability to use this Sea-Bird Electronics product, even if Sea-Bird has been advised of the possibility of such damages.

All directions below are based on downloading from a web-accessed FTP listing, unless noted otherwise. If you need help transferring files, contact Sea-Bird by e-mail or phone (425-643-9866).

1. Click on Go to FTP site below.
2. On the FTP site, double click on the SeasoftV2 folder.
3. In the SeasoftV2 folder, double click on the folder for the desired software.
4. Download the software:

1. Double click on the current revision .exe file.
2. (In Internet Explorer) A dialog box appears, asking if you want to run or save the file. Select Save.
3. (In Internet Explorer) A Save As...box appears. Browse to the folder you created on your hard drive, and click Save.

5. Once downloaded, open Windows Explorer and double click on the .exe file to install. The application will guide you through the rest of the installation process.

Once installed, open the software. Check Help, About to ensure you have the correct version number. Also, ensure the shortcut on your desktop, if applicable, is pointing to the version you downloaded.

Note: For download of Seasave-Win32 (older version of Seasave), click on the Seasave folder in the SeasoftV2 folder. You will then see a folder labeled OlderSeasave_Win32. The older version of Seasave is available in that folder. Download instructions are the same as described above for the other software.

1. Click on Go to FTP site below.
2. On the FTP site, double click on the SeasoftWaves-Win32 folder.
3. Download the software:

1. Double click on the current revision .exe file.
2. (In Internet Explorer) A dialog box appears, asking if you want to run or save the file. Select Save.
3. (In Internet Explorer) A Save As...box appears. Browse to the folder you created on your hard drive, and click Save.

4. Once downloaded, open Windows Explorer and double click on the .exe file to install. The application will guide you through the rest of the installation process.

Note: ** in the file names indicates the software revision number. See Sea-Bird FTP file descriptions above for the current revision number.

1. Create a folder on your hard drive titled Seasoft-DOS.
2. Click on Go to FTP site below.
3. On the FTP site, double click on the DOS_Software folder.
4. In the DOS_Software folder, double click on the Seasoft-DOS folder.
5. In the Seasoft-DOS folder, double click on ss42**d1.exe.
6. (In Internet Explorer) A dialog box appears, asking if you want to run or save the file. Select Save.
7. (In Internet Explorer) A Save As...box appears. Browse to the folder you created on your hard drive, and click Save.
8. In the Seasoft-DOS folder, double click on ss42**d2.exe and repeat Steps 6 through 7.
9. In the Seasoft-DOS folder, double click on sinstall.bat and repeat Steps 6 through 7.
10. Install SEASOFT-DOS by running sinstall in the Seasoft-DOS folder on your hard drive.

1. Create a folder on your hard drive titled SeasoftWaves-DOS.
2. Click on Go to FTP site below.
3. On the FTP site, double click on the DOS_Software folder.
4. In the DOS_Software folder, double click on the SeasoftWaves-DOS folder.
5. Double click on the .exe file.
6. (In Internet Explorer) A dialog box appears, asking if you want to run or save the file. Select Save.
7. (In Internet Explorer) A Save As...box appears. Select the SeasoftWaves-DOS folder you created on your hard drive, and click Save.
8. In the SeasoftWaves-DOS folder on the FTP site, double click on the .bat file and repeat Steps 6 through 7 using the file name setup26.bat.
9. Install SEASOFT for Waves by running setup26.bat in the SeasoftWaves-DOS folder on your hard drive.

If you prefer to use an FTP utility (such as FTP Pro) instead of your browser to access the FTP site, follow the directions below.

1. Create a folder on your hard drive for the downloaded software.
2. In your FTP utility, enter the address ftp.halcyon.com
3. For user ID/Name, select anonymous.
4. For the password, enter your e-mail address.
5. Under Remote Site, enter  /pub/seabird/OUT.
6. Set transfer to Binary.
7. Go to the desired folder on our ftp site.
8. Either use the get command to select one file at a time, the mget command to select multiple files at one time, or use the transfer buttons in your FTP utility to transfer the software on the FTP site to the folder on your hard drive.
9. Exit the FTP program.
10. Install the software, following the installation directions above for SBE Data Processing, Seasave V7, Seasave-Win32, SeatermV2, SEATERM, SeatermAF, Plot39, SEASOFT for Waves, SEASOFT-DOS, or SEASOFT for Waves-DOS, as applicable.
