  • Housing -- aluminum (6800 m) or 3Al2V titanium (7000 m).

 

  • Connector type -- Each housing is available with standard (Impulse XSG-type) or wet-pluggable (MCBH) connectors.

 

  • Latch assembly size / configuration --
    12-, 24-, or 36-position latch assembly is used with full size SBE 32 Carousel (36-position Carousel is custom; consult Sea-Bird).
    Compact or Sub-Compact latch assembly used with SBE 32C or 32SC.
    Note: See SBE 55 and SBE 32 Change Notice for information on latch changes that will be implemented in 2011.

Side bars connect upper & lower guard rings for SBE 32 (full size) & SBE 32C (compact). For full size SBE 32, there are 2 side bar designs:

  • Side Bar 2 is used at upper guard ring position with riser bar.
